Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 8 tortillas
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Drain off excess fat once the beef is fully browned.
- Stir in the taco seasoning along with the amount of water listed on the packet.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, until the liquid thickens and coats the meat.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or directly over a low flame for a few seconds per side.
- Fill each tortilla with beef, then top with lettuce and cheese.
Equipment
- Skillet
Tips
- Drain the fat before adding seasoning so the spices cling to the meat instead of sitting in grease.
- Warm the tortillas; it takes seconds and makes them flexible instead of cracking when you fold them.
- Make your own seasoning with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, and salt to skip the packet.
