BLT Sandwich
Crisp bacon, ripe tomato, and cool lettuce on toasted bread with mayo. The classic done right, which is mostly about good ingredients.
The BLT is proof that three good ingredients beat a long list of mediocre ones. Crisp bacon, a ripe summer tomato, and cold lettuce, held together with mayo on toasted bread.
There is no technique to hide behind, so make it when tomatoes are in season and cook the bacon until it is properly crisp. That is the whole secret.
